Cored Wire

Graphite and coke are known as carbon recarburisers in most of grey iron and ductile iron foundry works. In order to improve the efficiency of carbon additive, graphite and coke are magically rolled into the cored wires with other metalic elements and ingredients like cobalt, nickel, ferro-silicon, etc, so as to assist in carbon adjustment, improving microstructure, enhancing machinability, controlling shrinkage and reducing costs.
Due to the limited packing space in the cored wires, the precise specifications of recarburizers used in cored wire vary based on the requirements of the casting material and process with key considerations both carbon content, ash, sulfur, moisture, nitrogen and specially engineered particle sizes.
SupeRecarb® & PureG® are specialized products designed by Cocan Graphite to meet the rigorous specifications and requirements in global foundry markets, especially in grey and ductile iron castings.
